Take Action

Though Carbon Cashback will not move forward in the 2025 legislative session, we are supporting the following bills:

  • Status of bills as of 3/3/25. Three of the six bills crossed over to the other side of the legislature. We are considering adding an additional 2 bills.

    • HB 243 - establishes a grid-ready home interconnection process that supports the transition to clean energy.

    • HB 344 - 2/28/25 - Crossed to Senate passed first reading. requires the design of all new state building construction where parking is to be included to provide that at least twenty-five per cent of parking stalls be electric vehicle charger-ready.

    • HB 346 - provides rebates for the installation of eligible electric vehicle-ready parking stalls for new construction of affordable housing.

    • HB 968 - 2/28/25 - SB552 - crossed to House, passed first reading, referred to AGR, FIN Creates the Healthy Soils Program, which would enable farmers to adopt sustainable farm management practices leading to healthier soils that substantially sequester carbon. Requires an annual report to the Legislature.

    • HB 976 - strengthens the existing renewable fuels production tax credit, including tightening up the qualifying emissions reduction threshold.

    • HB 1051 - 2/28/25 - crossed to Senate, passed first reading - extends energy-efficiency portfolio standards.
